whatever...this team was extremely entertaining to watch down the stretch. Unless your only measure of success is winning the cup every year this was definitely a successful season. I had an absolute blast watching them this year(well, the second half of the season anyway) and can't wait until next year! Go Canes!

P.S. What are the odds the front office drops some dough and adds another true scoring threat?

To be honest, I can't complain about this year's play after all is said and done. With the January/February we had it's amazing we're in the Conference Finals. But that's not to say I've given up, if Boston can come back from 3-0 down to the Yankees, anything is possible.

Go Canes. And damn all the Jort wearing Penguin fans there tonight as I will not have a voice tomorrow from yelling over them the whole time since my section was flooded with them. It was a disgusting site to say the least when you're surrounded by fans from your 3rd least favorite city in the US behind only Buffalo and Detroit.

Pittsburgh is just hitting on all cylinders right now, doesn't hurt to have 2 of the top 3 hockey players in the world either. Since Game 7 against Washington, they've looked like world-beaters. It's not that the Canes are playing bad, it's the Pens raising their level of play so much higher that it's making us look bad.

So on the blackberry I have listened to the pre game that http://www.iheartradio.com has with the home of the Pittsburgh Penguins 105.9X. Point being is if you guys listened to what I listened to you would HATE that city more than you already do. The way they talk sh!t about people from the carolinas on the pre game and the general disrespect in general of the RBC makes it unbearable. I wish 99 the fan would be on that stream for my app. Either way I won't even be able to watch game 4, i am praying we win, if we do I KNOW we can get to 6, if not season over my friends. =(

Agreed, Pittsburgh is a terrible place. Is this why Pittsburgh fans such assholes? I actually stopped associating with an acquaintance of mine because I could not take his lame shit talk any further. He has lived in NC for 15 yet he all of a sudden hates this place and every one?? Hmmm... yeah, he will not be missed.

Hoping to see a huge turnaround and 4 straight wins but that is a hard task for any team to muster. In the end, whenever the end might be, I will be very proud of the Canes this season and will be looking forward to the next.

I just wish if they thought our city was such a terrible place they would leave. While they're leaving bring any and all New Yorkers with them. I know one thing, if I ever do open a sports bar (which I do hope to do) there will be no bandwagoning city of Pittsburgh fan clubs allowed in it. I hate their fans the 2nd most behind Detroit as I'm sure at least half the "fans" there last night probably have never seen the city. The only team I can honestly say isn't full of fans that haven't seen the city is Buffalo as who would want to cheer for that team who isn't from there?

But here's my take, if you think this place is a shithole, leave and never come back. I won't lose sleep over them leaving at all as I hate their fans as they think they're better than everyone. I will honestly say that I am going against everything I believe in and I will cheer for Detroit/Chicago in the finals. I hope Crosby never raises the cup and I'm sick of seeing Malkin's parents.

Oh and I think this is a match made in heaven as Kennedy has such a pig nose.

One game at a time now... I just want to see at least one great game in this series from us. If we lose I'm gonna look back in a few weeks and realize what an amazing season this was and how far we came, but for right now it just hurts. Not over yet, though.

so let me get this straight: Pittsburgh scores nearly all their goals in the series by crashing the net and we continue to not make them pay for doing so AND we don't do the same thing on offense.

It really pisses me off to see Cole, Samsonov, et al. bring the puck down along the boards, take a poor angle shot and hope that by some divine goddamned intervention that there's a Cane in the same zip code as the goal. It's not like the Pen(i)s are really clogging up the middle of the ice on odd-man rushes. for fuck's sake, use the middle of the ice!!

No doubt about it he will be back. He was hired as an interim coach, and for me I think the writing was on the wall that if he could get this team into the playoffs, he would be receiving a contract. He's done much more than get us into the playoffs; much more than anyone ever expected from this team, its own fans included. The key will be getting the entire staff back with him.

So just got back into town I went to Va. Beach for the weekend, Sat night I went out to a sports bar to watch the game with my sister and her fiance since they dont have cable. Im thinking there will be some canes fans there and we will have a good time. Game starts and Im looking around and I dont see any so I figure ok maybe they are just chillin until the game starts. We score the first goal I start cheering and clapping... and Im the only one in the bar everyone is looking at me like WTF is this guy thinking... then pittsburgh scores... the whole bar freaking erupts... yes I somehow ended up in a sports bar in virginia full of nothing but pittsburgh fans... needless to say that kinda put a damper on the evening.
