^^^look at the final record dumbass. we played better defense today that we have in a long time. i will admit that our offense did negate their good defense today, which i'm sooo thankful for. I'm just saying, the year we had the number one defense, we won a bowl game that year. This year our defense sucks and we are two games away from bowl eligible.

On the 2nd MooU possession, Wilson ripped our D for a 56 yard TD pass. 24-21 And to think there are people who went ballistic at my saying that the passing game is the weak link of our D. The much maligned UNC O did not wilt because the UNC D, with all those future NFL players, again failed; instead, the UNC O methodically moved the ball down the field and kicked a FG. 27-21 At this point, if the UNC D were well-coached, it finally would have risen up and played up to its potential and shut down MooU, perhaps actually getting 1 turnover. Instead, Wilson lead MooU on a 90 yard TD drive, the backup MooU OC picking Withers apart the way Jimbo Fisher did. 27-28 MooU Imagine how all this success by the MooU O affected the entire team: the poor Wuffies had crammed 4 TDS right down the throats of the super talented UNC D, controlling the clock and moving the chains exactly as they wanted. The UNC O again started down field, but could not convert the 4th down at the MooU 33. The UNC D did its job, 1 series too late, and managed a 3 and out. The UNC O then marched into FG range. But yet another in a LONG line of FR WR mistakes led to losing an additional 6 or 7 yards on 2nd down. Yates hit Little to get us back into FG range, but the kick was low and blocked. Again, the SUPER talented UNC D, led by six 3-year starters, could have risen up and shot down MooU: a HARD 3 and out, or a punt after only one 1st down. Instead, the Wuffies drove down the UNC gullet, at will, and would have added another TD if Spencer could catch. The Wuffies racked up 22 1st downs on 335 total yards, possessing the ball for 31:35, with no turnovers. Grade for the UNC Defense: D---."

Good win, always good to end the season with a win, but this season was an embarassment. 2 Quality wins, and 1 win against a conference opponent and 2 garbage wins. We either need a new defensive scheme and coordinator or a whole crop of new players, special teams with the exception of placekicking needs lots of improvement. We can build on this but we say that every year. Hopefully we get some good LB and CB recruits.

nate irving back + all our freshman cb's with 1 year = at least mediocre DEF next year. it's the DE/DT's i'll miss the most

russell wilson or glennon + toney baker + nearly all WR's back next year = above average OFF next year

and that pretty much answers my "will i be buying my season tickets again next year" question.

You know, gave us as early Xmas present, what was that, 3 or 4 huge penalities on that one drive....I think it was 3 and a mile and we got a p/i call (I was thinking interception time) They gave us that TD....and then they fumbled on what would of been a for sure TD....and the WRs when they really needed them to step up didn't. The game ball should of gone to the whole carolina team as they were the 12th man for us today.

I also thought the time management at the end of the half sucked....like it has all season. Maybe TOB thinks you can keep timeouts for the second half?!?!?!?!

great effort today - really surprised me. I'm happy for the team and the coaches; and I hate to harp, but I hope this game doesn't save Archer's and the STs coach's asses. Yes, each of the teams had two of the most important plays of the day and the defense really stepped up in the second half... but I truly believe that was from pride, not coaching.
