It's still early but I think we can go 10-6 and finish in the top 4 in the ACC. I think that would put us at a ~6-7 seed.

That's an optimistic projection, not a guarantee.

I'd be surprised if we didn't go at least 9-7 and get a 10 seed or higher.


It's hard to put a ceiling on us because we just don't know how much the freshmen will be able to contribute but I'd say top fifteen in the country is unrealistic and anything beneath that is up for grabs if everything comes together.

I am setting my expectations low. I want an NCAA berth anything above that will be gravy. Remember they are freshmen after all.

^ Again, the freshmen are not the reason we are going to be good next year.

The four of them together with Tracy Smith probably wouldn't be enough to get us in the upper half of the ACC.

We had a super young team last year and now we have more experience, we lost zero impact players and we are upgrading our bench significantly.

The freshmen will be contributors, not stars.

I agree but I feel that an NCAA tourney bid is a pretty significant accomplishment. That would most likely require us to be around 9-7 in the ACC which would be a significant upgrade from last year. I am hearing way to much crazy talk of NCSU being able to challenge for the ACC next year etc etc.

wood, howell, javi, and possibly cj williams are going to solid acc players next year. howell maybe even a really good one if he learns a lot about playing the post from smith. In fact, he probably shoots better than smith, so he has another dimension.
