I know he plays for UNC, but Strickland is a pretty easy guy to like. He's the one player on that team who always played hard ... and he's by-far their best on-ball defender, probably the fastest player on the team too. Gonna be a much bigger loss than UNC fans will have you believe.

Kinda like CJW. I really don't want Tyler Harris getting anymore minutes at this stage. Dude just isn't ready.

^x3 IIRC he could move his arm, which would mean it wasn't dislocated. Hearing a pop is usually bad, but not having to have an MRI is a good sign. My guess would be a ligament sprain/strain.

"PACK SITUATION MORE URGENT
State is hoping for positive news on C.J. Williams’ right shoulder.

The senior from Fayetteville missed the final nine or so minutes in Thursday’s 76-62 win over Boston College.

With a game at Miami on Saturday, the Wolfpack’s situation is far more urgent than Carolina’s. The Heels don’t play again until State visits on Thursday.

Aside from being the team leader, Williams gives the Pack a big wing (6-5, 224), who may be the most versatile on-ball defender in the ACC.

If he has to miss time, Mark Gottfried’s primary rotation would be down to six players and could lead to Lorenzo Brown going to the wing with 5-10 Alex Johnson running the point.
Coupled with C.J. Leslie's chronic cramping problems, the Pack is living on the edge physically."

Read somewhere that they never actually did MRI or Xrays on CJ (the non-calvin one), and wolfpack tweeterers have said that he left the RBC and didn't appear like he was wrapped up or anything. I think he comes off the bench but plays.

Tied for 1st five games into conference play!

First time we've been 4-1 since 02-03 (I think I read)!

Scott Wood just broke an ACC FT record!

Alright, enough celebrating.

before tonight's game 10-6 now 8-8 first round loss in the ACC. hopefully my hopes will rise until the next UNC where we shut the bed at home and then i'll change to 7-9 with a ACC forfeit.

This loss doesn't really change my thoughts on us getting 10 wins in the ACC. I knew we were going to lose by 15+. We don't match up well against UNC and for some reason we kept going to the one area where they are so much better than us (inside).

We beat UVa on Saturday and things get back on track. Lose that game, and we're in trouble.

Last night was just one game, but I have no hope for our offense against a disciplined UVa team that is not going to let us get out in transition and won't turn the ball over.

We'll likely finish 9-7, maybe 8-8 and land anywhere from 5-7th in the conference. NIT bubble.

He'll probably have a good game...but he's also not 6'11"+, long, and athletic (which both Zeller and Henson are). We're fine with guys our size, but not good with guys who are a couple inches taller and play a foot taller.

Sene is 7'0 and athletic.

Mike Scott might be the best offensive player in the ACC.

This Atkins kid blocks every shot that gets put up.

We're definitely at another big disadvantage in the frontcourt this game.

Didn't realize that. Ok that's a big help. Still Joe Harris and Mike Scott are sick and UVA is a better defensive team than UNC.

This has all the makings of a 58-53 loss that we are all so accustomed to.

It would be a huge win no doubt. If we win two 50-50 games (Miami + UVA) it cancels out losing a 90-10 game at home to GT basically.

I like Johnson ... he gives us some quickness and ball-pressure defense we haven't had since Cliff Crawford. He has a few careless turnovers, but he's pretty smart with the ball overall.

That said, I really wish he was as good as advertised from 3. He was supposed to be pretty lethal from deep. He's been anything but this year.

Good article about Howell's Beard Gang and how the sale of the shirts help fund the Make-A-Wish foundation. One of Howell's younger sisters died in a car wreck, he has her name and passing date tatooed on his arm.
