I would take one of those murderball dudes over Vandenberg.

He was interviewed on the Gottfried show yesterday, in what Tony Haynes described him as a "fan favorite." Bless his heart if he believes that.

Of course if he actually tried and hustled and didn't act like Roger Dorn out there in terms of getting hurt I would feel a lot worse saying this crap...

After watching that Holy Cross highlight video I'll forever be thankful for Debbie Yow and Mark Gottfried. That was my freshman year and I guess that I pushed most of the memories of those first two years out, that was pretty depressing to watch.

My grandfather, who ushered NCSU football games for 40+ years and ushered NCSU basketball games for several decades as well, passed away early Saturday morning.

I wanted them to win so bad that I didn't have the nerves to watch the game but I did do gamecast to keep abreast of the score. I, like many State fans, was getting very nervous there toward the end of the game. Still, thanks for winning one for my grandpa... I know he was watching.

^Sorry for your loss. Cool to hear how dedicated he was to the university though--40 years is a long time. Bet he saw some great stuff over the years. Probably didn't hurt the team to have one more voice pulling for them from the beyond.

I think he stopped ushering basketball games some time back in the late 80s. I remember going to a few games with him in the Valvano years.

He ushered at CF and Riddick Field for close to if not over 50 years, but I think his last year doing that was at the end of CTC's reign.
