I'm just saying, if you want to be taken seriously, you shouldn't resort to name-calling her EVERYTIME you mention her.

VI didn't call you an idiot, i said you kinda sound like an idiot.... (and i assume you think that people that call bigots bigots are bigots themselves)

[Edited on June 21, 2016 at 12:42 PM. Reason : same goes for those who refer to Drumph (or whatever) everytime they mention him.]

He doesn't have a functioning campaign, his numbers are dropping fast, most of the GOP elite despise him, the Koch brothers are not supporting him, his campaign doesn't have any money, and he's not able to raise money because GPO doners don't think he's serious about the general, and he's not setting up any ground game in the battleground states. How exactly do you view this ending, if it's not with Trump quitting at some point?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2016/06/21/this-number-in-donald-trumps-very-bad-fundraising-report-will-really-worry-gop-donors/

He's already laid the groundwork for said exit plan: “it would be nice to have full support from people that are in office, full verbal support. With all of that being said, I may go a different route if things don’t happen.”

He's not in this for the general. He's in this for him, as always. Which is why my money is on him quitting at the convention where he launches Trump News.
http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2016/06/donald-trump-tv-network

Lastly there is a long and storied history of Trump quitting shit. There is no similar history of a Clinton being indicted, so your comparison is dumb.

Ha I just got an email from The Donald:

Quote :
"This is the first fundraising email I have ever sent on behalf of my campaign. That's right. The FIRST ONE.

And, I'm going to help make it the most successful introductory fundraising email in modern political history by personally matching every dollar that comes in WITHIN THE NEXT 48 HOURS, up to $2 million!
"

By personally match, he obviously means "making a personal loan to my campaign which I expect to be repaid"

Hell he's probably just doing this to pay himself back the $45 million he's loaned his campaign. Self funding my ass.

Quote :
"Fast forward to this week, and we still have no indication that Trump is putting his money where his mouth is. His latest campaign finance filing, which covers all of May -- including three weeks after Trump's declaration -- shows Trump still isn't converting his loans into non-refundable campaign contributions. And an additional $2.2 million Trump gave to his campaign last month was given in the form of a loan -- not a contribution.

In other words, whether it's his intention or not, he will still be able to repay himself if he wants to, based on the filings.

[Trump entered June with just $1.3 million in the bank, while Clinton sat on $42 million war chest]

As future Fix editor Rebecca Sinderbrand noted late Monday night, after the report had been filed:

More than a month ago, his team said he would be making good on his "self-funding" pledge by converting the loans he's made to his campaign — which accounted for nearly all the funds he'd provided — into a gift in the "near future." Since then, he has repeatedly referred to that gift in the past tense. If he's made good on the pledge, it's not evident on the form tonight, which lists more than $45 million in loans made or guaranteed by Trump, and less than $400,000 in outright contributions."

I can only assume you find the idea that Trump would gift fake diamonds or wants to start a news channel (as has been widely reported) outrageous and completely implausible.

My face hurts after reading the transcript from Trumps interview on FBN about Brexit. This guy is, far and away, the most unqualified person to ever run for major office.

He basically said "don't ask me, I don't care.... now about my golf course in Scotland." WTF, this is a major decisions for our biggest ally and has far-reaching economic impact and this fucking buffoon has no clue about it.

^Yeah, I saw a clip of an interview with him (might be the same interview you are referring to, not sure), and it was obvious that he had never even heard the word "Brexit". When the interviewer explained what it was, he just rattled off about how Britain should leave the EU and that its a horrible deal for them. Meanwhile, every other expert in the field agrees that it would be negative for UK as well as the global economy as a whole. I think in Trumps world, every deal is a bad deal and should be renegotiated.

But on a more concerning level, his response reminded me of his interview with Chris Matthews when he was challenged on his position on abortion. Of course Trump NOW claims to be pro-life, but he couldn't even clearly explain how he would enforce a ban on abortions. He went so far as to agree that the offending mothers should probably get jail time. Which is completely preposterous and not a true position of any pro-lifer. But it just highlights that Trump has not thought through even some of the most fundamental positions. He claims that the electorate as a whole don't care about details (which is probably true), but I have never seen him actually provide a coherent explanation of any policy. So I don't think its so much as the electorate doesn't care, as much as he just doesn't know.

The thing is, I think everyone knows this. But for some reason, a lot of people dont care.

People used to say "i don't expect trump to know, but i think he'll do the best job hiring the best people" but this too is making less and less sense as Trump rolls on.

Careful, thats what they said a year ago. Yet somehow, he managed to get more primary votes than anyother candidate in the history of the republican party. His campaign is unorthodox, but I wouldn't underestimate it like Obama did with ISIS.

Quote :

As a conservative, the only way I would consider voting for him would be because theoretically, he would be more open to working with the conservatives in congress. Then I remember that he is not a real conservative, much less a Republican. So fuck congress and the Republican party, lets have four more years of gridlock.

No, it's not even a functioning campaign. That's the qualification that has to be met before you can call it a campaign, and then an unorthodox campaign. You must have missed my post at the top of this page...

I just read some of his speech and if it came from your regular GOP member it would really resonate with the base. It was actually a pretty solid take-down of Clinton. Of course there was your standard Benghazi conspiracy horseshit but it's the GOP so you'd expect that from anyone.

However it came from a guy who has done the same exact shit and had the same exact views.. but just lies about them.

Problem isn't the message but rather who is delivering it.

Come on man. Donald J Trump's campaign was in debt to Donald J Trump. He loaned his campaign the money, and he's finally, after much pressure, converting those loans into contributions as he's long promised to do. And he only did so because he's unable to raise any money since he's always got the option to take that newly raised money and pay himself back at any moment. He did this because he was forced.

[Edited on June 23, 2016 at 8:01 PM. Reason : Also as Cuban pointed out, if he was really as rich as he says, he could easily self-fund]

^^This is part of the reason he's having trouble getting any contributions from the donor class. These are basically the same rich people who bankrolled his opposition in the primary, and he used his own money to beat. Because it was structured as "loan" to his campaign, any money given to the campaign will pay back that loan to Trump before anything else. So you can imagine why donors are hesitant to retroactively pay Trump for beating their preferred candidate, especially now that his campaign looks like a losing cause.

Oh I see, I guess he finally realized this and changed it from a loan to a straight up donation. Idiot, it's too late now.

This thread is about Donald Trump's fairly obvious mental issues.
