Yeah, noise is better than motion blur. Noise is also better than a horribly underexposed image, or not getting the shot at all.
Any of those shots with noise were taken at stupid low levels of light. Some of them were taken with a 5D MKII at 3200-5000 iso and a 35mm at f/1.4, so that should indicate how dark it was.

A) Those are mini bottles and the tops look silly to begin with.
B) Because of the perspective that I was taking them from, the tops looked stupidly large.
The Jameson was the only one i even considered it because it has actual detail on it.
Here ya go:

^ what are you looking for? i picked up a KATA DR-467 rucksack because i wanted something i could use on flights that would store my laptop, too (and hold a water bottle...that was a big deal) 9/17/2011 11:00:05 AM |
OmarBadu zidik 25071 Posts user info edit post |
you definitely need to be more specific about what type of bag you are looking for or what you want to use it for - i've got the following
lowepro slingshot that is great for throwing in the camera and an extra lens or the flash - great for easily taking the camera out and getting a few shots then putting it back without taking the bag off
vanguard uprise 38 that i use for my daily work bag and standard travel bag for work or when i want to take the camera out and carry a bit more than the lowepro allows for - i keep the camera insert out of it almost all of the time
tenba shootout backpack (small) when i need to take all of my camera stuff / laptop / tripod / monopod / etc 9/17/2011 9:48:09 PM |

About how much stuff can you fit in that slingshot bag? It looks like it would be decent size, but you can never really tell from online stores.
And also which model do you have? I see a 102, 202 and 302 on B&H.

I threw up some photos on flickr. I didn't shoot as much this year as I did last year, and I didn't attend as many shows as I'd have liked (stupid fucking girl drama ruined shit for me) but I managed to get a few.

I need a nice digital camera and have a friend offering me his 50D with 28-135is lens for 500 dollars.
(He upgraded to 5d Mark II)
Seems like a great deal price wise any suggestions/opinions?

50D is a pretty awesome camera, I'm not sure how much they are worth these days but $500 sounds like a good deal 9/26/2011 5:01:50 PM |

Yea i cant decide originally i was going to spend more and get one with video but dont know if I should just get this since it seems like a really good deal (same on craigslist was 950 and new they run around 1200) or jump up to a more expensive camera that includes video,
The 5d mark 2 at 3500 is a bit much but 1500 or lower I could handle without my wife going nuts. 9/26/2011 10:46:07 PM |

If you want video, look at the 7D, but for no video, the 50D is a solid camera. $500 sounds like a pretty good deal to me. 9/26/2011 11:12:24 PM |
umop-apisdn Snaaaaaake 4549 Posts user info edit post |
Yea, as long as that 50D wasn't beaten to hell, $500 is an awesome price, especially seeing as the 28-135mm IS is a good $300 or so if it's in decent shape. If you don't go for it, put me in touch with said friend of yours. 9/26/2011 11:17:32 PM |

I've got a PW Multimax Transceiver ($295 on b&h) and a PW Plus II Transceiver ($169 on b&h). Both work great, are in excellent condition, I just don't use them enough at the time.

What is the biggest difference between a Nikon AF-S lens and a regular AF lens? The reason I ask is because I'm looking to get a Nikon 50mm, and deciding if the price difference is worth it? Anybody have experience with either? 10/5/2011 11:20:03 PM |
