^ Hot pink is great for sterile-looking college apt. living. Def a vote for the second one then. Though personally I'd be more inclined to get a sexy black and white comforter and then use hot pink sheets and pillows for that pop of color.

Example:

A great comforter is an investment, as they will hold up wonderfully for years if you take proper care of them.

well this is just the cover. easily switched out for a more "grown up" one when i finally am done with school in ....... 5ish years

and i thought about that too but I already have the black sheets and I kind of super love them and don't want to replace them. very comfy.

and I really love the damask pattern. I actually would probalby like a blue or a green and black damask pattern but i can't really find any i like as much as the pink

Embrace the color now I have a solid white comforter and then switch up the sheet and pillow case covers when I want some change.

I have pink paisley sheets that I loooooooveeeeee and since I live alone I don't have to deal with a dude complaining about them.

^^ I think I sometimes forget that I'm "old as fuck"

Enjoy the fun color while you can. I'm unfortunately at that age where I've started to realize that I have to start "dressing my age" and making more "mature" decisions. Whatever that means.

UGH!

well, i didn't check out how pricey the duvet is but it would be nice to have something you can still use if you move in with a guy. She was talking about replacing it in 5 years, that's a long time to use any bedding, but especially pink leopard print.

Is it really? I used the same bedding for about 12 years before I moved to Japan

As long as you have decent bedding and clean it regularly and it isn't starting to fall apart there's no reason you should feel like you have to replace it every (X amount of time). Just use common sense. If it's getting gross, then it's time to replace it.

^ I was almost out when I posted about that. When I went to get more I bought the white one instead of the pink to try something new, figuring it would be just as good. Mistake. Do not stray from the pink one. And of course when I tried to get it at Walmart last night all they had was the white one.

This has probably been discussed before but since we're on the topic of skin products I need a recommendation for a good everyday face cleanser.

I use this version of that line. My face is so sensitive and it helps clean it without over-drying.

i use the st. ives apricot scrub. love love love. but i have really oily skin so its probalby not great if you are having dry winter skin.... i can see it causing dryness and redness

and i like the white one Skwinkle it smells good

I like the white one too, but it does not begin to compare to the pink. The pink makes my skin crazy soft (I tried to think of a humorous analogy but could not do it justice) and my legs are almost still smooth the next day. Normally I get prickles by the end of the day with other shaving stuff (including the white one).

thongs came up in the stocking stuffer thread...

can i just say that victorias secret has got to be the most frustrating store of my life

none of their bras fit me, ok fine

but their thongs are worse. i am somehow between a small and medium size. small is way too tight (usually) and mediums fall off me. wtf!!

i am a fan of VS. their bras & panties fit me well AND i'm completely in love with their push-ups

and i refuse to spend $$$ on underwear. maybe $10-$12 if they are silky and match a bra. but other than that i go cheap cheap cheap

I am not going to lie. I have a whole bunch of the $1 panties from Rue 21.

I buy them knowing they won't last very long and will fall apart, but they're comfortable and cute during that time frame, and I like getting to buy a bunch of new ones every so often. That way I can have fresh patterns and stuff instead of just wearing the same ones over and over.

my cheap VS $5 for $25 underwear has lasted for a year or more. i'm tempted to get rid of some of the older ones just to make room for more though

ladies i have a question (this is joie)

if i can help it, these babies will be mine (assuming i can't find a patent yellow pair first)
http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/product.jsp?catId=100&productId=365212&productGroup=365176&pwpHash=shop,pwp,c-100/f-10001+70016+4294967141/t-WOMEN%27S|BOOTS

but...im confused about the sizing.

i would normally order a size 9, but when i measured my calf (as in the sizing chart....it days im a 5 )

anyone got any ideas?

[Edited on December 27, 2010 at 12:06 PM. Reason : yeah ps-if you find a patent yellow pair-let a girl know. ]

The circumference is how big around the calf is in that boot, it has nothing to do with your foot size. It's just telling people how fat their calves can be and still fit in the boot.

so question about taking your hip measurement, sorry if this seems really stupid. Is it a) across your hip bones or b) across your upper thigh? I always thought it was across your hip bone but when i look online it seems as though most places are calculating upper thigh/across vagina. For example

a) hip bones

or

b) thigh/ vagina area

I've always thought your hips are measured at YOUR widest point, which for most people is that point at the tops of your thighs.
