WP7 is possible. A CDMA version just passed FCC approval and during the keynote at CES, Ballmer said they'd be available on Sprint and Verizon by the end of June.

^^^yeah unlock it. I do this every time I leave the country. Just pick up a cheap 30 day sim card with unlimited data and use skype for calls and gvoice for texts.

The Latest Redsn0w betas will give you untethered if you have your 4.2b3 SHSH backed up. I'm untethered on 4.2.1 on my iPad, but still on 4.1 on my iPhone (mainly because they haven't got a couple of jailbreak apps that I use ported to 4.2 yet.)

However, chronicdev supposedly has an untethered solution that they are very close to releasing, but that's one of those "I'll believe it when I see it" type of things. I'm pretty sure that comex did say he was going to wait for 4.3 before releasing his.

So what is the going rate on TWW, Craigslist, Ebay for a iPhone 3G with a cracked front screen (that is otherwise in perfect working order)? I'd only get $25 credit at Radio Shack selling it there and it has to be worth more on the open market.

I can get a iPhone 4 for $150 at the subsidized price starting tomorrow...

replace the screen. my coworker got it fixed at a chinese restaurant for $20. i sold two 3G on ebay for $200 each a few months ago, can probably get $250 if you're more patient

2 local NCSU Grads put out the "Facebook Touch HD" app.

Its selling for .99 on the app store right now, and made it to number 6 on the top 10 paid apps list.

Its totally part time for them, one of them is in Med School at UNCheat, and the other works for IBM, I think.

Pretty cool ... I wonder how many sales it took to make it to number 6 on that list!!!

^^ Yeah dude, I've broken my 3GS screen three times now, haha. A new screen costs $7.95 on eBay. The first time I fixed it, it probably took about an hour (partially because I was learning, partially because the screen was REALLY shattered that time, and partially because the factory adhesive is a little tougher than the replacement stuff).

I can probably replace the screen now in 20 minutes, tops. Maybe more like 10-15.

A non reoccurring alarm worked just fine for me last week. I did set an alarm for +1 minute and test it out beforehand just to make sure though.

I have a dilemma.

Work is really pushing Apple crap now. They will reimburse $150 if we get an iPhone from Verizon next week. Plus, I will get grandfathered in on the unlimited data. But there will be a new iPhone coming out a few months later. Do I want to be stuck in a contract for 2 years only to be stuck in the middle of Apple's upgrade year when my contract re-ups? Plus, hasn't this iPhone 4 kinda been plagued with bugs?

^^^What bugs are you referring to? The only thing I remember was the whole death grip thing, but that was way overblown imo. I have the 4 and haven't had any problems.

New HTC Style Html Widget.



New Dock, which can be opened via any activator mode, it allows pinned apps, and manages multitasking apps. Much better than the standard dock.

I never understood HTC style mods for the iPhone (or the HTC look in general for that matter.) Why anybody would ever want to waste two-thirds of their screen real estate on a clock and the weather is beyond my understanding.
