There have been some rumblings that we're reaching out for graduate players who could come in and compete this year. Also sounds like Grier has reported that he is looking hard at tOSU and NC State as possible landing spots for his transfer. The dude is a no-brainer with his actual play, but the fact he just got suspended for a year is a bit worrisome.

yeah hooker is definitely 2017 recruit. for grier...he's not eligible to play next year though, right? he's suspended, and a normal transfer, not a grad transfer, iirc. not sure how the transfer will impact his suspension, but either way i don't think he could play till 2017.

Think people were hoping 4* QB Hooker would commit after making visits 2 weeks in a row, but he got offered by ND and I think S. Carolina, so he's pumping the breaks.

Also sounds like we're working on another 4* QB but don't think we're in his top 3.

Staff must have really liked him, most thought we had a good shot at landing 4* dual-threat QB Hendon Hooker.

Though it sounds like McKay is better pure passer than Hooker, so probably fits our new offense a bit better.

Always good to get your QB commit early so they can help recruit for you, and seems like the kid was all about NC State, so I'm glad to have him.

just got a commit from 3-4* Mallard Creek DT Grant Gibson. was just at Penn State's junior day last weekend and had offers from Virginia Tech, WVU, Tennessee, Louisville, Georgia Tech, Vandy, others per 247. Rivals has him as #16 DT in the country, #6 overall in NC.

Don't think we heavily pursued Grier since he wouldn't be available, potentially, until mid-season 2017.

Obviously WVU is going to appeal to try and make him available game 1 of the 2017 season, but who knows if that works out.

Think we play WVU in 2017 or 2018, so guess we know who we'll be facing at QB.
