I let a bad situation get the best of me for a little too long, but I took control and have fixed things for myself. She says she's not sure she can trust me to talk to her about things since I didn't talk to her about this. I'm like, how in the world CAN'T you see how this was an extraordinary situation? And none of the factors that contributed to the original situation even exist anymore (due to the networking, friends, working out, all-around getting of the shit together). I never lied to her. I never cheated on her. I have always, always tried to do the right thing. And even in putting on the strong face and holding things inside, I was trying -- albeit misguidedly -- to do right by her and make things OK. I don't feel like what I've done should be a fatal mistake to the relationship. And I don't understand how what I've done prohibits me from getting a chance to make things right now that I've got my shit together. She's made up her mind and is unwilling to talk about it. And I find this whole thing extremely unfair. We were GREAT for the year leading up to when I lost my job. Only then, did issues come up. Oh well. What can you do, you know? I've got my shit together, and I'm approaching the best shape I've been in in a LONG time. I guess if I'm going to be single, might as well face it like that."
