I won't dispute that. Mad props on defending Douglas.

Wait, I can remember a good Michael Douglas movie. It was Falling Down. He was great in that. I want to get that on DVD when I get some cash.

You'll just have to trust me when I say that the screen captures are only a fraction of how remarkable the actual video looks.

This definitely looks like a step in the right direction away from the crap like CATWOMAN, THE PUNISHER, and LXG.

Now, if the general public would just think of stuff like SIN CITY, GHOST WORLD, AMERICAN SPLENDOR and ROAD TO PERDITION when they think of comic book movies.

The screenplay's adapted from four different stories ("Sin City," "That Yellow Bastard," "The Big Fat Kill," and "The Babe Wore Red") all intersecting a la PULP FICTION.

trailer is fucking badass. I was prematurely worried that they would screw up the movie and not relate the tone of the comics, but all worries have ceased.

I wonder how much my old Sin City comics will be worth after this movie turns out to be shit hot.

There are a handful of SIN CITY collections, which recently went back into print with a new snazzy trade-dress:

Does the casting of Elijah Wood as Kevin strike anyone else as odd? I mean, the guy was a cannibalistic sociopath, right? At least it should be interesting. . .

This movie looks like it's gonna kick SO MUCH ass! I may have to find the comics somewhere just so I'll be up to speed or whatever. I really dig this film-noire stuff (ie, Max Payne).

And props to all the fine-looking femmes in the trailer, but goddamn if those Jessica Alba scenes will not give you nose bleeds.

will it be tough to see this movie w/o ever reading the books? i've always been aware of the series, ever since i was into comic books back in the day, but i never read any.

^^^^ - I'm sure it'd be easy to follow, but as far as deep character development goes, I'm sure they can't get into it too much in the movies ... it's going to be based on 3 of the Sin City storylines (The original, which is Hard Goodbye, The Big Fat Kill, and That Yellow Bastard) ... I have all 3 graphic novels if you'd be interested in reading them, I read the comics a long time ago, but I can't remember shit. I just remember them being awesome as hell, definitely stoked about the movie.
