So, I thought I was downloading an english trailer, but actually it's the whole movie in japanese. It has some other stuff with it that might be subs or something, but I'm not sure. Can anyone explain the other files that come with this torrent?

I enjoyed the movie, but to anyone who hasn't played through FFVII a lot of stuff is going to seem pretty confusing. This is the film they should've released in theaters instead of that crappy Spirits Within movie. It was great to hear a lot of themes from the game mixed into the score.

I didn't note anything particularly badass about Yuffie compared to the other characters and the homoeroticism seemed on par with the average effeminite Japanese villain IMO.

I definitely agree. The action sequences were alright, especially the one with Bahamut (it WAS Bahamut, right?). I also didn't like how little the playable characters (other than Cloud and Tifa) were in the movie. They had their scene and that was it.

which is extremely funny for a movie that was originally supposed to be released in the states the day after the japan release. They really missed the ball on this one, almost everyone who wanted to see it has gotten tired of waiting and downloaded the subbed japanese version. there will still be a lot of people that buy it, but not nearly as many as had they actually released it the on the 15th of september here.
