I saw Sufjan and the noisemakers last night at the 40-Watt in Athens, GA and was blown away.

He played a lot off Illinois--Jacksonville, Decatur, Chicago, Casimir Pulaski Day, The Man of Metropolis, The Predatory Wasp, They are Night Zombies, and a couple more.

The highlight of the night was a haunting cover of REM's "The One I Love." The encore was also a highlight because he played "To be alone with you" and "Romulus" which are my favorite songs from their respective albums.

All and all, one of the best shows I've been to. Someone post the set-list from the Cradle tonight. I'm curious to see how much he mixes it up.

This show was amazing. I had to stand behind like the tallest dude in the whole place during half-handed cloud but thank god some people moved to our left afterwards leaving us with an awesome view of the Illinoisemakers. I wish every band had the enthusiasm of sufjan stevens or arcade fire.
