right wing? unless he's changed, his car views were completely left wing imo (if we're speaking in political terms).

not to say the automotive left wing doesn't have something that should be taken to heart by all, it's just generally muddled by the other ridiculous bs. in turn, the automotive right wing also blinds anything worth listening to with ignorance in accepting anything new.

jj was a nice enough guy in person, i met him a couple times since he was redneck350's roomate. hell, at the least i've got to give him some props for getting me to weld the 3rd on his s13.

Great guy in person. I have a really tough time tolerating him on the internet.

Actually I'm in Charlotte, until last week I worked for a local shop specializing in 914's, 914-6's, and 60's through mid-80's 911s. About half street cars and half vintage/historic race cars. They've got two cars that run in HSR and one of the customer cars we built (914-6 with a mild 2.2L that runs on street gas) just placed 11th in the Targa Newfoundland. actually I was pointed to this thread by someone else.

I also forgot to give bigblueram proper recognition for the outstanding job welding the differential. it survived at least a year and a half of daily driving, about 5 or 6 drift events, 10-12 autocrosses, more sets of tires than I can remember, and it is still perfectly intact.
