My slip on only r6 got 48mpg mostly hwy.
Like everyone said, getting a bike just for the sake of saving money isn't going to work.

bikes are fun, i got mine cause i always wanted one. the good gas milage is like a bonus

bttt for those of you who said it wouldnt be worth it to buy a bike just for the gas mileage

do the math. even at $3 a gallon it'll take quite a while to recoup the costs of a bike, accessories, insurance, etc.

I get between 45 and 50 mpg around Raleigh on my Ducati 748. I wish I had paid attention on my long highway trip to see the highway mileage, but I didn't. I will never do that again, so I guess I will never know.
