finally getting to listen to the new cd. its not bad. i feel the same about it as trans kinda. its good. and i still listen and like it. but there is definitely less of a lasting feel to these last two. i still listen to all my old dcfc quite frequently, while trans doesnt really get played hardly at all. i feel this is going to be the same way. ill listen to it for a bit, and like it...but a year from now itll be on the shelf and ill be back listening to facts and photo album

part of the problem for me was my Dad for a while would not let my sister go, so she did not look into buying tickets...

death cab was great.
as far as i remember this is how the songs:album broke down:

plans - 6
trans - 5
photo album - 2
facts - 3
something about airplanes - 1
forbidden love ep - 1

i was disappointed by the trans heavy encore as well as my least fav song on plans. but it was all counteracted by one of my fav songs ever, the opening track from tracks (the first song i ever heard by dcfc back in the day, when i fell in love with them)

i was generally disappointed with Stars. everyone i rode with agreed the vocals were quite monotonous and i found them subpar. the music wasnt totally bad. I definitely liked a few parts but then the song would never develope IMO. and the use of the secondary instruments didnt flow that well. oh well i wont knock them too much but i was definitely very disappointed considering i had heard good things about them and was left completey unimpressed

Death Cab was great tho. finally getting to see them after 5-6 years or more of listening was great

Good heavens, why did I not buy tickets to this?

I went to see them (and Pretty girls make graves ) last year @ Cat's Cradle and it was immediaitely one of my top 5 fav. shows ever

I would've paid $50 a ticket to hear "President of What". Wow, such a random old song yet it's my favorite from all their albums prior to Trans. bummmmmmmmer.

i still am not a huge fan of trans. no idea why. they played the the few songs i liked from it. but other than that it just never really stuck with me
