Durr, of course not. I was never trying to contend that back emf was some grotesque problem, just added it to the list of things that makes a car environment pretty difficult from a noise point of view. Gargs just tried to pick that little sliver up and make it a troll point and failed (and continues to do so) miserably with it. And funny thing btw, you just claimed you have seen alternator ripple upwards of 200mV, but earlier in the thread you stated this:

power comes from the alternator, battery is only used when starting the vehicle and in instances when the alternator can't handle the current draw.

or when your HCCA275 is taking everything the alternator can put out and your car wants some juice
