I have said it a thousand times and I'll say it again, if he did not talk out of his ass to try to impress people with knowledge he DOES NOT HAVE, then defend his statements for hours to days (he's still trying to save face of sorts in the hybrid thread, last time I checked), then there'd be no problem... but that's almost all he does on here, so there is a problem. Maybe he was dropped on his head or something and confused the process of "recollection" with the process of "approximation", I don't know, either way, he needs to learn the difference between a statement of fact, and an expression of possibility.

and the people who think Noen is smart and well-informed are kind of like the people that didn't realize the err of his statement in the first place... irrelevant.

I have very little desire to impress anyone with any knowledge I have or do not have, I got over the whole "lol if people don't know what I'm talking about they assume I'm right" thing when I was like, 12. The part of this whole thing you missed is where Noen has come into several of my threads in the past and derailedstroyed them with pages of inaccurate, tangential, and trivial bullshit, refusing to accept EITHER that he was wrong, OR that his continued input was unwelcome, thereby earning my disgust. My disgust with him posting in my threads became disgust with him posting at all, as I realized how other people, in their own threads, did not realize that they were being misinformed, unless the misinformation resulted in sparks, smoke, flames, or other such obvious indications. I've tried to catch the most blatant instances of misinformation and point them out, partially because I resent him ruining my threads, partially as a public service, but really, every time it has turned into controversey.

So, like I said, fuck it, if you think he's a reliable source, keep supporting him when he gets into arguments with people that know better ("Well, I don't know anything about this topic, but this one time Noen told me to replace this one thing, and I replaced this other thing at the same time and it started working, so Noen is the shit and fuck you!11"), keep following his advice, whatever, I don't really care. I'm done with him if he stays the fuck out of my threads.
