If you donated $100 to the Katrina fund before Oct. 1, you got a personal call from Brian Wilson. We talked about "Be My Baby." I got my rents to donate the cash for my birthday.

aaaaahahaha - i've been meaning to do this for a couple weeks, but I finally got around to looking up http://imoscar.com/ to see if the show/Fox was following through with the site - they did!

.... btw... is anyone else confused about the whole British connection thing? Maybe i'm not paying attention enough, but i'm still unclear as to what the hell is going on with the chick and that british guy.

george senior insists he was set up for the iraq stuff by some british folks
micheal went to wee britain to try and get some info, but needed a british person to help him
he "Accidentally" finds Rita, who he thinks will help him
we discover though that Rita is on the side of dave thomas (the man who threatened him)
and is clearly just using him for information
unfortunately it seems michael is more than willing to provide that information

i miss this show
i guess it will only be another week till it starts back

yeah, i got all that

I guess the point that I'm being really dense on is what information are they looking for. Is George Sr. telling the truth about the "british connection"? If he's lying, which I suspect he is, why did these 2 brits attach themselves to michael trying to get info?

I'd probably be fooling myself by trying to blame my confusion on the fact that I've never seen more than maybe 6 episodes before this season....

I'm not convinced that Dave Thomas or Rita has any connection at all to George Sr or the British contractors. Dave Thomas is following around Michael because he believes that he's taking advantage of his dimwitted sister.

I think the sister is actually retarded or something. I mean, she was at school and she carries around that child's backpack. And she rides the coin operated rocketship or whatever it was.

I think it's pretty obvious that they have nothing to do with George Senior's dealings and that Rita has the intelligence of a six year old.

ah, that's a good theory. I'll rewatch those 2 episodes and see if it does make sense that she is.... ummmm.... specially abled.

Of course, I seem to recall she gave Dave a "knowing glance" when she got in the car with him, as if their plan was working, whatever that plan is.

Here's stuff to focus on. She's not a teacher, but a student in the class. Bench advertising that identifies her as having a "Wee Brain." Dave Thomas telling Michael "How would you like it if someone messed with the stupid person in your family?"

There's also a flashback to the season premiere where Michael and George-Michael are talking about G-M's "stupid girl problem" (Maeby), and Michael says "I don't even have a stupid girl..."

here's to waiting 'till Halloween!

why even bother starting a season, if you plan on pre-empting it every year for a whole month, and then for every other network's award shows...

fox sucks. it's not like AD has ratings that are going to suffer from baseball.

I don't get how you couldn't know she's retarded.

Coonskin cap.

Animal backpack.

Spends her time in an elementary school.

Where she is "very good!"

Only gets asked out by "little boys".

Mouth full of donuts.

"Some stupid member of your family."

I mean, this is like saying at the end of season one that you're not sure if Tobias is gay.

In all fairness, those things can be explained by things other than her being mentally challenged, which is what they want us to believe. But with everything together, I think it's obvious that they're building up to that big reveal. But I will agree with you in that I can't believe so many people are missing that.

recording device
notice she is pointing it at michael when she is asking him revealing questions
also notice that dave thomas reminds her to take it

Quote :

michael has dated a teacher before, its not that much of a stretch

Quote :
"Where she is "very good!""

well maybe she is
Quote :
"Only gets asked out by "little boys"."

michaels former teacher flame was also courted by her students
Quote :
"Mouth full of donuts."

its a restaurant that patronizes/mocks american culture
perhaps every table was doing that
Quote :
""Some stupid member of your family.""

thats the only one i'll 100% concede

the rest i'll just chalk up to not looking deep enough

one of my best friends is choosing to not watch this season on tv, and just wait the extra couple months for dvd, so he can watch them all at once sans commercials
perhaps thats what i should have done
because i guess i'm just not putting enough effort into grabbing the clues week to week

(i save that amount of effort for LOST)

Michael assumes that statement is a threat to the Bluths -- the British contractors are going to hurt Buster (or G.O.B.) -- which is what the writers want the audience to take at face value.

Everything about Rita is designed to work on both fronts. I concede that the only solid hint that one is right over the other is the bench advertisement which plainly describes her as having a "wee brain."
