Just got a reply from Judge Overby.

in speeding cases for a long time and Wake has not and has often been

It would seem a little odd to become even more punitive, although that is not out of the question. This is probably a lot more than you wanted, but I am not aware of any new speed limit for Wake
County, do not think Wake County could set any such speed limit lawfully,
and I am not aware of any new policy of the DA which might be related to
speeding cases.
