Watched the first two this morning. Mostly liked what I've seen; would have preferred 8 episodes instead of 4 mini-movies. The movies can feel like their dragging a bit. And no theme song?

I'm thinking that maybe they didn't play the song because it's technically movies instead of a tv show. They do play the theme song over the credits for the final one.

^Ohh that's where I knew that girl that was standing in the line from. I only watched a couple episodes of Parenthood so I didn't catch any others.

I did notice that Amy Sherman Palladino put in a bunch of actors from her other show, Bunheads. It was basically like a Gilmore Girls knockoff with ballet and Sutton Foster as a low rent version of Lorelai. It got canceled after one season.

Yea looked up several of the cast and saw they were on Bunheads. I never watched it, but I knew it had the same showrunners.

As for Parenthood cameos, Mae Whitman was the girl in line. She played Lauren Graham's rebellious daughter in Parenthood, and much has been made of her two acting daughters. The other two were the Park Rangers. The first one, the younger guy, was Jason Ritter. He was a big love interest for Lauren Graham's character. The last Park Ranger was Peter Krause. He played Adam Braverman, Lauren Graham's big brother on Parenthood, and in real life has been in a relationship with her since 2010.
