That's not persecution. It's a persecution complex." |
Well put if I say so myself. I find it rather odd that some of the same people that have accused various groups of "Victimology" are actually practicing it. If they cannot grasp the "Happy Holidays" concept for what it really means-Happy Holy Days-the bigger the jackasses they are for bringing up a trivial issue.12/20/2005 5:00:45 PM |

Because nouns have been repressing prepositions for too long! The persecution must stop. 12/20/2005 5:21:50 PM |

My family goes to church christmas eve AND christmas day. We're hardcore like that.
Everyone else is a dirty pagan stealing our holiday for an excuse to give presents. 12/28/2005 9:49:27 AM |

Christmas isnt a christian holiday anyway, it's Pagan.....there's no proof that Jesus was born on december 25...in fact, there's biblical records of shepherds tending sheep on that same night. It would have been much too cold during the Judean winter.
It was most likely started in Babylon as the feast of the son of Isis was celebrated on dec. 25. Gifts were given and there was lots of feasting that took place.

yes we know. But Christmas itself is Christian, because the word Christmas means Christ Mass. Granted it isn't the real day Jesus was born, but it is the day it is celebrated. 12/28/2005 10:52:45 AM |

no, but i've heard a few sermons that attribute the tradition of gift-giving on christmas to the three wise men. 12/28/2005 12:02:56 PM |
