I never really cared for these films.
However, in the original ending of clerks, some dude robs the store and kills the black haired dude. Would have made for a much better movie.

apparently joel segel (sp.) got up and walked out basically in protest to some of the crudeness and graphic nature of some of the language of the script.
awesome. 7/19/2006 8:41:45 AM |

so the movie industry supports stupid shit like Dukes of Hazzard whole heartedly...the public loved that horseshit........yet they think clerks/mallrats/movies of that "genre" are shit?

I feel the same, the guys scripts are amazing, he carried an entire movie with an original dialogue he wrote... The one thing i will say is that his movies are not for everyone, and thats the biggest problem people have with them
well they are for me, i think they are great 7/19/2006 9:20:31 AM |

Joel Siegel walked out because the film was too graphic in one scene
Quote : | "An apoplectic Smith fired back on his MySpace blog: "Getting a bad review from Siegel is like a badge of honor. This is the guy who stole his mustachioed-critic shtick from Gene Shalit years ago, and still refuses to give it back. This is a guy who seemingly prides himself on his own nyuk-nyuk wordplay. For 'Pirates 2,' he made us all titter with 'Yo, Ho, Ho and a Bottle of Fun' . . . He made us squeal with delight when he wrote, 'Wheelie Good Time for "Cars." ' I mean, Fozzy [bleeping] Bear laughs at this guy." " |

great movie! and I think everyone will know the scene in question (the one where Siegel walks out) when it comes up. It was a bit much, and they should have cut a bit of the scene out.. just too drawn out and long. 7/21/2006 9:59:32 AM |
