good lord woman! I don't live in the area so I wasn't sure if there were any predictions about when the weather patterns might change. You know, meteorology and studying the history of weather patterns. I know there are no absolute answers, that's why I was asking if there were any predictions.

it rained less than 1/2 of an inch
dude this morning said that it would have to rain a 1/2 inch a day or everyother day for the next few weeks to bring the water table up.

Well to put it into perspective - the history of any given area gives a rough estimate of how much rainfall to expect over the course of a year. These estimates follow weather patters. For example, January might be the rainy season and we historically get 10" of rain, September might be the dry month and we only expect 2". They don't just add up the total rainfall we expect for the year and divide by 12 to get the number of inches of expected rainfall for each month. We are currently close to a 9 inch rainfall deficit. Meteorology and studying the history of weather patterns have given us these predictions. We are currently 9 inches off (close to 25% of what we get all year), so I think it is safe to say that any predictions right now are garbage.

Until it rains enough to bring the reservoirs back to a safe level. Or in other words, however long it takes.
