I'm not sure if it really counts as a series, but I'm starting to dig Survivorman on the Science Channel. One dude with a couple of video cameras in a new location every week, surviving off the land for 7 days. But I'm not sure how many episodes of it are in existence. I've seen about 4 and seen previews for just 1 more that I haven't seen, but I think it kicks ass.

I completely forgot about Sportsnight, but you are all correct; that was a great show. I second Veronica Mars as well.

SCRUBS

Dispite being NBC's funniest best written show, its been put on hiatus until one of its new ones flops out. Lots of nominations for awards and lots of talent, but of course they never win anything because its such a favorites club that the same shows win over and over. You can not tell me Desperate Housewives is funnier than Scrubs

Veronica Mars should definitely be on the list. I've been watching that since Day One, and have always loved it.

And Scrubs seriously has been getting the shaft. NBC's congraulations for it winning an Emmy is ... to make it a mid-season replacement? It's that kind of stuff that has caused them to plummet in the ratings (though nobody was watching the show anyway ).

The Shield...Roomate and I can't stop watchin the seasons...have the first three and are almost finished with them all.

Scrubs is good although I never really got into it.

I always liked Entourage even thought it was horribly written, it had its funny moments and tons of hot chicks in it...everything a normal guy could need.

Family guy is of course the shit, though it isn't exactly a series

I only saw a couple shows of the wire, seems like they ripped off the shield basically except they are all good guys...where the hell is the fun in that?

How is Family Guy not a series?

And how can you say nobody watches Scrubs? It's been very popular for four years in a row, and even though the fourth season sucked it's coming back for a fifth.

The problem with Scrubs isn't that no one is watching it (it has decent enough ratings)
The problem is that ABC/Disney own/produce it and not NBC.
NBC has little reason to heavily support Scrubs when they can make their own new shitty sitcom that just as many people will watch and make way more money off of it.

In terms of just being well written, acted, and friggin hilarious, it deserves the coveted 8pm spot formerly occupied by Friends and Seinfeld.

Ok, maybe its not that nobody is watching it... but I guarantee that if NBC gave it the respect it deserves and put it in that timeslot it would be the number one sitcom in America in no time, because its better than anything else they got.

My mom told me she would represent for Arrested Development when she filled out the Nielsen ratings.

The problem with these kinds of shows that are professionally shot is that either:
A. The camera crew is 10 times tougher than the host and the show should be about them.
B. The host is never far from adequate clean water, medicine, commincation devices, etc.

My picks would be Reno 911 and Arrested Developement.
