Let me correct that. Everything from Land Rover used to be well made. The Freelander is very Escape like, and there not much it can go off road wise, and all that plastic is horrible. It was also insane to nix the Discovery line and go just for the LR3.
Who's going to take the $74K soccer mom mobile off road? Probably less than the the number of H2 off roaders, which is next to nothing. I think Hummer went in the right direction with the H3 by having a lower end vehicle for the market which is more practical. Maybe Land Rover will come to it's senses when it watches its North American sales numbers drop through the floor. 11/30/2005 4:42:30 PM |
