I don't care what the latest opinion polls say.
If the Dems take back the House then you'll be right. But until then these opinion polls are the only thing that the libs have to depend on, even though they won't do a thing to change the policy of a president who doesn't even have to worry about being re-elected. 11/24/2005 6:22:05 PM |

most republican pundits even now admit that iraq has been a major blunder. hell almost all of republican legislators are running from the president becuase they know his support is only going to continue to fall.
if iraq magically stabilizes, ill be wrong and youll be right. but we've had election after election, and its only gotten bloodier

Yes, credibility and intimate knowledge leads to these judgments (some of the quotes we were waiting to see to state the obvious)....
Quote : | "I can't tell you if the use of force in Iraq today will last five days, five weeks or five months, but it won't last any longer than that. " |

Quote : | "The goal is to be so capable of losing a war that you don't have to fight it over and over again in your nightmares which will haunt the Army of One forever" |
Quote : | "It's untidy, and freedom's untidy. Free people are free to make mistakes and commit crimes and do bad things" |
Quote : | "Saddam Hussein possesses chemical and biological weapons. Iraq poses a threat to the security of our people and to the stability of the world that is distinct from any other. It's a danger to its neighbors, to the United States, to the Middle East and to the international peace and stability. It's a danger we cannot ignore. Iraq and North Korea are both repressive dictatorships to be sure and both pose threats. But Iraq is unique. In both word and deed, Iraq has demonstrated that it is seeking the means to strike the United States and our friends and allies with weapons of mass destruction." |
Quote : | "I would look you in the eye and I would say, go back before September 11 and ask yourself this question: Was the attack that took place on September 11 an imminent threat the month before or two months before or three months before or six months before? When did the attack on September 11 become an imminent threat? Now, transport yourself forward a year, two years or a week or a month...So the question is, when is it such an immediate threat that you must do something?" |
Quote : | "No terrorist state poses a greater or more immediate threat to the security of our people and the stability of the world than the regime of Saddam Hussein in Iraq." |
Quote : | "And we should be just as concerned about the immediate threat from biological weapons. Iraq has these weapons." |
I can list more.
