http://www.ncdot.org/DMV/driver_services/drivershandbook/chapter1/typesLicenses.html

see where it says "regular licenses" and note that this is ncdot webpage. Then scroll down and you'll see the CDL licenses.

and it's not that people are just bad drivers because they hop into an SUV, they're just more dangerous in one. I'm sure the same 40 year old woman would be a terrifying driver in a honda civic, but at least she's just going to hurt anyone but herself in one of those. Why don't they just make all licenses harder to get and keep. On a more socialist note, they could implement a hotline, anytime you see a driver doing something stupid, call in their plate, if they get x number of complaints, they have to do a new roadtest and written exam on their next renewal.

you actually can call in complaints on drivers.

it goes on record with their license, visible to cops.

yknow when they see you speeding and run the license? thats what helps decide if you get a warning or real ticket.

Makes sense to me. Larger vehicles cause more destruction when their drivers make a mistake, so they should have stricter requirements.

bout to say, i guess i'm good cuz i gotz my classified B license already...

i still think this is stupid because just because you have paid 5 extra bucks or whatever and take some stupid ass DMV test doesn't mean you are any better of a driver. I think this will never fly, licenses now are based on GVWR and what weight is on a trailer, i just don't see a SUV endoresment like you do with a motorcycle, as it doesn't require a different skill set. but it's an interesting idea

Simple Solution:
(Driving age = 18)
+ (Can't get license if you can't pass the driving test in English)
+ (Non-retarded people working at DMV)
----------------------------------------------------------------
= much fewer accidents

yea I don't get why we don't require english fluency. If you're involved in an accident, you need to be able to communicate with the other driver, or follow emergency instructions.

ding, ding, ding. we have a winner.

funny how a man bragging so much about his license couldn't even answer the question that anybody with a CDL-A would know.

only thing that sucks though is i have to get a physical every two years since i am not driving for the state. state employees are not required to carry a dot medical card, nor pass anything other than an eye exam for 20/30 corrected vision to drive basically anything on the road.

They already get fucking $30 out of you before you are even 18

Learner permit - $10
Provisional License - $10
Full License - $10
Over 18 License - $10
Over 21 License - $10

They get $10 fucking dollars every time you move. They get to charge you ten fucking dollars because you have aged.

Why the fuck do they need to charge more money because they are complicating things further.

How about if they got a timer in the DMV like the people at cookout have to work under. All the average serve times are sent back to corporate, and if they are consistently too high the manager gets fired.

Thats something I as a taxpayer would not mind footing the bill for, a fucking "your fired" timer for the DMV employees. Until they can bring serve times inline with cookout's they do not need any more fucking money.

Okay, but it sure is alot easier to kill someone with a AK-47 than it is with a BB-Gun.

I like this idea. 99.9997% of SUV drivers are middle-aged soccer moms or really small guys trying to compensate. Both categories of people are horrid drivers.
