I found the official formula for blessing beer!

Quote :
"Blessing of Beer

P. Our help is in the Name of the Lord.
All. Who made heaven and earth.
P. The Lord be with you.
All. May He also be with you.

Let us pray.
Lord, bless + this creature, beer, which by Your kindness and power has been produced from kernels of grain, and let it be a healthful drink for mankind. Grant that whoever drinks it with thanksgiving to your holy name may find it a help in body and in soul; through Christ our Lord.
All: Amen.

The beer is sprinkled with holy water."

In the middle ages, I think people in Europe drank beer primarily for sustenance. It's like a sandwich in a cup. But maybe I'm wrong.

I didn't say devout chrsitians. I said "religious nutjobs".

There is a big difference.

Let me know if the deal goes through. I live in Athens, and could bring a pretty substantial group of grad students to your establishment for happy hour.

Awesome! A very happy hour indeed!

We're actually now planning not to have any majority owner, but have a maximum of 15% ownership in one person. We figure, each shareholder, even if they own only a few shares, would have an incentive to make the bar a success - it would be "their" bar and when we start being able to declare dividends, it's a "the bar makes money, you make money" thing. Therefore, it's good to have a large number of smaller shareholders.

Shares are going for $40 per share, 1000 shares offered.

Is there supposed to be some kind of irony in you being religious and owning a bar? Bars are just like church: you get together with friends, drink alcohol, and give up the ability to think rationally!

zing!

What kind of bar only costs $40,000?

If we're going to generalize let's get the figures right at least, 99% of people who voted for Kerry are addicted to drugs, mostly caffeine. And if movies about drugs tell us anything, drugs not only open your mind but lead to sex and possibly more drugs. Mostly sex.

I don't know everybody's gotta hate on drugs all the time.

As far as Christians owning bars, I would only say it's hypocritical if Wolfpack2K actually espouses anti-alcohol beliefs. Religion's a pretty personal thing; it's hard to generalize across sects.
