Its possible if his is unmodded and he runs it lightly. I might get 20 mpg on mine right now, but its an LT1 which is worse on gas and I need to replace an O2 sensor, among other things. So yea, its possible to cruise along at 30, but get in town or step on it ANY and you blow that away.

6th gear in my car is 0.5:1 i believe

with no internal mods done it is pretty easy to get 30 mpg highway
