i think my record without any caffeine or stimulants was about 43 hours... with caffeine i've done about 54 hours. the 54 hour time i was feeling fine afterwards, I just went to sleep because I could... I'm curious how much more I could do if I was in a situation that required it. 1/21/2006 4:34:18 PM |

Jere, I am sorry, but you lose. Yes, you said that you cannot die from not sleeping for 10 days. Well, just because one person was able to not sleep for 11 days and live, does not mean that everybody will live. Anyway, let's say no one will die from it.
But, you also said this:

Which is the REAL bullshit in your post.
Here, you don't mention a time frame. But we know that if you stay up for a certain time, you will die. No one knows what the threshold is for human, but lab animals kept awake die in a few days. Scientists don't exactly know why humans need sleep, but they do know that without it, we will die.
I would reckon the threshold is something like a month. I think what will happen is that your muscles will be wasted, even with adequate food intake. Muscles are repaired at night when you sleep, when GH is released. No sleep, no GH.1/21/2006 5:03:21 PM |
