it sounds to me like he got caught doing something stupid and extremely unprofessional and is trying to cover his ass with the fact that it happened to be an ethnicity class. it clearly wasn't done as a teaching tool as a part of the class. if it had been he should have consulted with the student beforehand to make sure it was ok to you use him as an example and he wouldn't have done it during a midterm exam. the fact that he did it during an exam blows his cover story. the teacher should be publicly reprimanded by the school and fired.

Even if the teacher was out of line (which I think he was a little bit), the kid should've just talked to the teacher after class about it and/or talked to the principal.

I was thinking about that today in class 'cause the teacher was talking about the word "nigger". It's easily the best and most interesting class I've had at State, but I got worried that someone would be oversensitive about it and complain about racism or something.

I got upset when people made fun of me for wearing a KC Chiefs hat after Montana got traded, but I was in FOURTH GRADE.
