For future reference...NEVER EVER EVER EVER live with best friends. I learned my lesson my first year in college. My best friend and I decided to room together...biggest mistake ever. We ended up fighting and both moving out at the end of first semester. We didn't speak for a year after that. It may work to start with, but eventually you are going to get on one another's nerves. Being best friends, you probably shared everything and knew mostly everything about each other. Then when you moved in together, you sort of gave up that little space you had seperate from her. It will drive you apart and can destroy a friendship.
That said, I would sit her down and talk to her. Tell her that you feel like things aren't the same between you and her. You don't want to lose her friendship, so you think it would be best if you spent more time apart, and therefore, you want your own place. Tell her she's free to come over any time she wants and you still want to hang out, but you just need a little space right now. If she's really your friend, she will understand. 1/27/2006 10:09:34 PM |
