it's cool to be able to pick out your seat and all, but when the ticket selector drops you every time you try to check out it kindof sucks.

wow 36 for franz ferdinand and death cab. talk about not worth it. oh for the good ol' days of two years ago or more when you could see these bands for ~$15.

Logged on right @ 10am this morning and WOW the servers weren't prepared for that. Took tons of loading time, and right about 10:52am they must have just dropped everyone because suddenly my cart was empty again and things moved smooth as silk.

I was able to grab 2 aisle seats on Row B of an onlooking section, and even though I wasn't quite quick enough for Row A, I'm satisfied.

By ordering through Duke's site you get to choose your seat from those remaining (VERY cool!) and it worked great for me once the servers were refreshed. And you get them for $30/each by being a non-Duke student. Total for 2 was ~$67 w/ the gay fees. Still cheaper than TicketMaster would've been with their terrible fees.

Yes, the price is a bit steep, but here's how I see it. I paid ~$23 to see Franz last year @ Cat's Cradle. I paid ~$20 (maybe more, can't remember exactly) to see DCFC last year @ Cat's Cradle. So now I see them both in one night for ~$33 and I only spend one trip driving. Not too bad if you look at it that way, and you must admit these guys have found a share of the MTV crowd (which hiked prices), like it or not.

Wow, I defintely paid like $35 for third row center seats at the Blink 182/Green Day Pop Disaster Tour a few years ago at Alltel (obviously only caring about Green Day). That's crazy expensive, especially for Cameron where the acoustics are shitty. Be prepared to roast your butts off, because if they turn on the AC you can't hear anything. Even four years ago when Sum 41 was cool (yes, 9th grade...), their tickets were only $15 at The Ritz/Disco Rodeo, and Incubus played there and tickets were $18ish I think.

Should be fun though. Enjoy! I'll have to suffer through all the traffic.

I know, right? there has to be another band playing because seven is just too fucking early. I don't even get off of work until 5:30 and by the time I get home and change, it'll be 6:15, and then I have to drive all the way to durham from raleigh. fuck that shit

no clue, I'll be getting there probably around 7:30, so I'm hoping it'll be easier to park, as the concert will have already started

^^^ummm it's not dashboard confessional, you've probably never even heard a whole song of death cab you ignoramus.

just got back from the show, me and 2 of my buddies got our hands on some 'event staff' shirts and got to meet and get pictures w/ the lead singer, bassist, and drummer of death cab, then we carried bags of ice onto franz ferdinand's tour bus and met all of them.

First time on Duke's campus...pretty nice

I parked on the side of the street near the Chemistry lot since it was after 5pm, screw paying $5 to park

"The Cribs" were about the worst opening band I've ever seen. First song was so-so, the rest was complete garbage...the acoustics didn't help.

Franz and DCFC were stellar (save for the crappy acoustics in the building). Very entertaining The sound in there was just bad...that bugged me all night. And seriously, that gym is a dump. Basically the #1 team in the world plays in THERE? What in the world? It's so old school it's embarrasing.
