I am a fan of Latvia because of Arturs Irbe and because it has become obvious to me during years of international hockey watchage that the Latvians care much more than the Americans. I'll be cheering for the US in every other game, but the Latvians are my boys.

First Latvian goal was off a huge rebound, but the second was solid and on the third Grahame got LASERED to the top shelf.

The only soft goal of the game was Conroy's.

Looks like there's a layer of plexiglass on the boards to keep the graphics intact...could account for the liveliness.

On top of his excellent play stopping shots, the second goal on Arch was soft and the third was marginal. Latvia almost stole this game, and they certainly stole the tie.
