I like Mark and Mike in the morning. Mark has wonderful NCSU bias, and Mike is pretty good. Probably one of the best local guys

NC sports talk is boring, it's drab, and it's just too safe. It wreaks of an overbearing PD reading focus group numbers and micromanaging the content of every break.

Adam Gold is just a squawk box. Joe Ovies' attempts to be relevant by appealing to a contemporary urban culture that left him behind a decade ago is laughable. He's the radio equivalent to the soccer dad in the rocafella chain.

The David Glenn show is bad. It's like listening to paint drying.

Mark and Mike show is ok. I think Mark's personality is mostly a bit. Chris Morris is funny. Mike Maniscalco is the hardest working man in radio in the Carolinas. The guy is on the grind 24-7.

Steve Logan is the most knowledgeable, experienced, connected, and wise voice in football in not just this listening area, but probably nationwide. There's literally nothing in football, be it coaching or playing or managing, that he doesn't know. Just ask him. He'll be happy to tell you about his accolades and the limitless talent of David Garrard.

DP is fine - not really fond of fritzy or mclovin or any other of the hangers-on with the kitschy nicknames though.

Mike and Mike is like the McDonald's of sportstalk. It's everywhere, it's consistent, but it's not really good.

But honestly none of them are as bad as Jim

i just heard the bit with greg olsen, so hard to comment about just that. as a general rule, it just seems like a horrible idea to have 1 guy doing a show by himself. even if you're the most knowledgeable and entertaining person around, it's still just one opinion. the drive wasn't the greatest thing ever, but taylor was good at providing a base to marc's acid. that's the big reason i can't stand david glenn (that, and that fact he takes 10 minutes to make one point, while also taking time to speak of the lovely and talented maria)

Mark Thomas showed his ignorance the other morning when talking about State. After just getting blasted by Virginia he said that State is a 12-6 team in the ACC like there was no question about it. I am not quite that confident at this point.
