This is old school ... but i'm going to have to go with Lloyd Harrison ... he was a shut down DB back in the day and I believe led the ACC in interceptions 1 or 2 years ... i played the position in High School so I have a bias towards these guys 3/3/2006 12:51:52 AM |

what a lot of State fans liked about Hodge was the passion he played with. the thought that every game mattered. also it took big balls for him to come back for his Senior year after being voted ACC Player of the Year his junior year. 3/3/2006 1:34:09 AM |

^^ I don't remember his name, but I believe he was #1 and I know Lloyd was #2 ... and yes that was a sick secondary ... they were part of the group that picked off Weinke 6 times in '98 3/3/2006 2:23:14 AM |

^^^^^Rodney Redd was a safety #9 I think. The other safety was Jason Perry I believe like #39. The corners were Harrison #2 and Tony Scott #27 who spent time in the NFL with the Jets.
They were called the Rough Riders I believe and we led the nation in INTs. Good times.

Ishua Benjamin, Curtis Marshall, Todd Fuller, Hyatt....pretty much all those dudes form the Les Robinson Era.
They were always there every summer when I attended the Les Robinson Basketball Camps.
I became worse off because of those camps....more turnovers, lower fg %, etc.

Ryan Howard of the Phillies
Only because I didnt know he was from NC State until this morning. He's a masher, should have a big season this year.
But truthfully, it would have to be Torry Holt because he's such a great ambassador of the school. 3/4/2006 9:41:01 AM |
