But it does go hand in hand with the argument, in the other thread, about K praising Herb and all. (I don't want to get into that - idc really.) But would I be wrong to raise a brow when opposing fans praise our coaches? My guess is that they think Herb stinks and wants him to stay, whereas if he had K or Roy like success I doubt that would happen. Haha, just something I can pick up on my radar and you can't b/c ya'll have his cock so far up your arses.

Aha ole Chucky doesn't get it near as bad. And yet he didn't beat a rival this past year unless FSU is one. We lost to UNC, Wake, and who knows if we would have beat Duke.

I'm critical of Amato, and Herb is a classy guy.


Football is an entirely different scenario.

1) We have no football tradition. We don't have the right to expect greatness in football just like FSU doesn't have the right to expect it in basketball. You don't keep lame duck coaches, but you also don't throw them into a pressure cooker and expect them to win right away unless the school has a reputation for it.
2) Amato's not been here as long as Herb
3) It takes a whole lot longer to build a football program vs. basketball.... much less at a school with no tradition. (44+ players vs. 7 or 8 in basketball.... plus NC State isn't a big name in football, nor has it ever been).

I could go on. I think Chuck is assembling a lot of talent, I think if we had a QB worth damn (which ultimately is his fault, I know) that we'd have been a helluva team last year.

Ifs, ands, and buts... doesn't matter. We'll see what happens, but our football program is dwarfed in historical expectations compared to our basketball program

It isn't my fault if the only positive callers supporting Herb are fans of other schools


(Oh, and for bashing Evtimov. I try not to, but I really don't understand why he didn't finish the season on the bench. He was terrible from midseason on.... I mean absolutely just out there wasting space and throwing the ball away. I've never been one to bash players, but damn)
