Are you aware that Duke, UNC, and NC State have all been known to recruit outside the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area? Some recruits actually WANT to come to tobacco road to play basketball. It sure as hell hasn't hurt Duke and UNC recruiting, and it usually doesn't hurt State. There is plenty of talent in the State of NC (look at Wake Forest recruits), and the top recruits in the nation want to play the top competition.

It's time for pansy-ass NC State fans to stop whining that we'll never get the chance to win in the shadows of Duke and Carolina, and get ready to compete with them every year. I think it's sad when people have no historical context or guts, to the extent that they see our present situation as the best things can possibly be and fear any change.

We have landed top recruits before, during, and will continue to after the Sendek era. We have been the best team in North Carolina before, and will be once again. Even David Thompson needed a coach. I'd love to keep Chris Wright, but him coming here or not will not define the program for the next twenty years.

Will people on both sides quit being god damn morons. Jesus christ. Herb is gone. I liked him but he is gone so get the hell over it and quit trying to blame the fans/program for it. On the other side you other morons should not underestimate the importance of a Chris Wright type player and quit being pricks to the people who liked him like you somehow are justified now and better then those on the other side.

College basketball starts and ends with a PG. We need him. It will be a BIG HIT if he doesn't come here and I don't think he will at this point and that sucks.. People are going to downplay this but it is big.. That is all.

NC State is on tobacco road, and we play in the ACC. We're in the goddamn epicenter of college basketball. Recruits across the country want to play in the ACC and compete at the highest level. We don't have the allure of UNC, Duke, or even Maryland right now, but we do have more to offer than 90% of the programs out there.

It doesn't matter that we haven't won shit over the past 15 years. A good coach with an exciting brand of basketball could turn this program into a powerhouse.
