its really amazing how many people pull for admitted cheaters

while you have somebody like Albert Pujols who is a better baseball player than Barry Bonds is now, and a better baseball player than Bonds was at the same point in his career

oh yeah, and even though "Bonds is an asshole and everybody in the MLB cheated and Bonds worst crime is being an asshole"...Pujols isnt a raging steriod head like Bonds...he has a little more class and dignity...oh yeah, and a little more baseball ability

Why exactly do you think I'm some huge Barry Bonds fan? I honestly couldn't care less about Bonds, his home run record, and whatever else. As much as it eats at you, he'll still be in the hall of fame as well.

The big issue I have is that after the lockout in '94 (at the absolute latest), the MLB turned a blind eye to players like Bonds, McGwire, and Sosa who were all probably roided out of their minds, but now years later, now that they're beginning to face the actual consequences of ignoring the steroid use, they want to make a big deal about it. It's just retarded.

Look, say you're Barry Bonds. You're pretty much one of the best players in the game and all of a sudden these two guys named McGwire and Sosa are involved in their home run chase, with both of them obviously taking something. You know you're better than both of them, you know if you take the steroids you'll get the record, and you know no one is going to even bat an eyelash about steroids when you do, because god knows the MLB loves the ratings. Now I'm not saying you or I would make the same decision, but given the circumstances and the (apparent) personality of Bonds, it'd be stupid to think he wouldn't.

So I think it's stupid that everyone is on this "FUCK BARRY BONDS HE'S A CHEATER" kick and excited to see him get thrown under a bus, when there are so many other guilty parties and those who should be shouldering some of the blame as well. I mean, you take Bonds out as the guy with the single season home run record and who do you wind up with? McGwire -- and is that really that much better?

Oh, and since you want so bad for me to say it: Pujols is good.

also i hate sosa and mcgwire...because they juiced just as much

your problem is you assume people hate bonds but love all the other juicers...not the case...the only reason bonds is in the media now and big mac and sosa are not is because mcgwire retired, sosa sucks, and neither of them were close to babe's HR numbers

so ok, blame baseball...dont hate the player hate the game...whatever
