I agree with the much earlier statement:
NCSU = Oakland A's (and yes McAfee is a shithole)(oldskool tradition, new hope on horizon)

The Cubs are too popular to be the NCSU equivalent. So many bandwagon fans.

UNC = Red Sox (bandwagon - mania from recent won-it-all cocksuckers)
DUKE = NYY (evil empires)
WAKE = Braves (good regular season team; always get there and dont win it all)
Maryland = Angels (usually good, won it all 3 yrs ago)
Gtech = Astros (comes on strong in postseason)
(can u think of any more parallels? Im done here)

Or perhaps NCSU is more like the O's? Traditionally good cub overshadowed by the big boys next door?
