I'll get a PS3 or two just to sell on eBay...the only reason I'd get one is potentially for the Blu-Ray player.

But with promises from companies to have a "universal" (Blu-Ray + HD-DVD) player out within 6-12 months, I may hold off on even that.

Just to clarify, the $499 unit lacks an HDMI port (so basically you can't watch Blu-Ray movies in full resolution...brilliant), lacks WiFi built-in, and doesn't have the built-in MMC/SD/Mem. Pro card reader which the $599 version has.
