Don't treat our program like we are Campbell or South Carolina State. This is a basketball team run by business professionals that last year made a profit of nine million dollars playing in a professional arena. If a coach is getting paid $2 million per year, he can take boos if they are deserved. It's not like he is some altruistic individual doing it because of love of the game and to pass on good upbringing to kids.

I doubt they're saying anything about us.

My point was, there are levels of jobs. At those schools, you're expected as coach to do a halfway decent job, try to win the conference tournament, and go play big schools out of conference as a prostitute cause the school needs the guarantee money for the athletics budget. And the small fanbase at these schools understand that, otherwise they just don't show up to watch. These are schools that are still amateur.

NC State, with the amount of money invested into basketball, ceased being amateur long ago. All coaches understand that that came here. That's why they get paid more than the guys at SC State and Campbell, they're professionals. So the reason we are allowed to boo at home at the coach, who is also the general manager since he recruits (pro-speak: hires) the players, is for the same reason Detroit Lions fans can wear a bag on their head to protest their general manager and wear the colors of the opposing team: they paid for their ticket.

Point: If you can't accept people being critical of you, you should never even be considered for the job.

^^^Nobody ever said that a coach who can't handle being booed should get the job. The Point is that a distinct group of people with their heads up their ass would buy a ticket to the game just so that they can humiliate their coach, their team, their schools, and even themselves on national television. If they want to humiliate themselves, that's all well and good, I'd be happy to help, but those assholes can keep their money if it means we have a fanbase that actually respects a good coach.

^On another note, can some of those boosters buy us a rebound?

It's been obvious to me since day one this would not be a win-win situation for Lee Fowler. He gets criticised for not push Herb out sooner, he gets criticized for the way he is supposedly handling the search and when he started it and he will get criticized for he eventually hired. If after this is all said and done, I wouldn't blame him to leave us for a better job because he doesn't get the respect he deserves here.

Lee Fowler does not care what we say, we have no power.

He cares about what the boosters that give State big money say.

I'm not sure if you noticed, but we didn't fire Sendek. He bounced because everyone kept calling for his head and he could make more money elsewhere.
