It is an economic basketcase propped up by remittances from the US. Crime, corruption, socialism. I hate it for them, but we are fools for bringing it here.

Also, a little over a third of Hispanics vote Republican, so if you really want to fight "socialism," you should probably shift your racial hate over to blacks and New Englanders.

To be make a very long story short, the land used to be communal back in the Mesoamerican days. The land though was/is in the hands of very few people/companies. For the farmers (campesinos), when there is no land in Mexico there is no life to live in Mexico. Thus, what do they do (and I can't blame to be honest)? They come to the richest country on earth or they work as servants in rich homes in the city.

Now, I can see the viewpoint from the Latin American way, but I also can see the point of view from American way. From the American way, we need to establish a stronger militant presence. We may hear a bunch of cry and moan about this, but it is the best thing for us to do. Idealist notions should not be our guiding principle in this case; rather, realist understandings that this is a problem that threatens national security.

I will say though that it is a mistake to demonize illegals.
