That commercial, Royal Tennebaums, and The Life Aquatic all suck.

The Royal Tenenbaums is one of, if not the, best films of all time.

You know what I love most in my comedies?

Suicide.

They slit and I laugh and laugh and laugh.

I just don't understand where the comedy is.

Ordnance Tactics is hands down the best episode of the series.

It also clocks in at about a million times funnier than The Life Aquatic.

I thought that was the kind of subtle, not-actually-that-funny humor that Wes Anderson fans ate up?

true story

my friend had just set up a projector at his parents, so a couple of us went over to watch life aquatic, and his dad wanted to watch as well

so about 25 minutes in, his dad just gets up and walks out

he later told us his dad left because we kept laughing and he didn't really notice anything to laugh about

There are a lot of funny things in Life Aquatic.

There are also two GIGANTIC plot/character holes.

It doesn't work as a narrative film, but there are so many good tidbits, I greatly enjoy watching it.

IT'S WES ANDERSON'S BIRTHDAY.

THIS REQUIRES CAPS LOCK.

I didn't watch Tenenbaums yet. Maybe I'll do it tonight in honor of Mssr. Anderson.

i actually didn't really like the life aquatic the first time i saw it.

then the second time i saw it, i thought it was hilarious.

i think i went into it the first time expecting something different, then being disappointed.

I've said it a number of times, and I'll say it again: Rushmore is the best ambiguous ending of all time.
