Yeah, I'm a bit amused by all this optimism regarding a coaching staff on which every member has a losing record.

I'm not saying you can judge all these guys by the shitty talent they've had, but let's not get championship dreams when we have NO idea what they can do.

^I'm not that optimistic, but the way this shit looked a few weeks ago I'm more than satisfied with the coaching staff we've put together. I mean imagine if we had hired Lavin....that would have sucked balls, and now it sounds like at least have a competent staff.

I think it is because we are getting 2 guys that have been HEAD coaches for awhile and are still willing to serve as assistants. Of course they were not great, but they still were the lead man. Larry Harris is a very good assistant to go along with that.

People are mainly just excited that we actually have a coach now.

I'm so glad to have someone here who "gets it". It hasn't been that way for decades, and now it is. It's nice to hear people talking about "The Wolfpack family" and bringing back former players, uniting the fanbase, and wanting what's best for NC State.

Towe said that he'd love to remain a head coach, but when the alma mater called him, he had to "report for duty" as any true Wolfpacker would

I hope Lowe works out as head coach... we need someone who is a face of the program in the coaches' seat

^It certainly seems to be working for Flip Saunders this season.

Their offense seems to be way more productive this year, since he's let them loose.

There are tons of teams that play better when they're loosened up, rather than worrying about getting everything perfect.

Hell, think outside of sports. High morale = more productive, in business in general.

Our coach's #1 rule is recruit well. Thereby getting down to the level of Highschool prep all americans and convincing them that you will not only be a good coach, but also provide a system of play that they envision themselves suceeding in.

What he is really saying to the fans is : "My #1 goal is to not alienate talented recruits".

I cant think of any highschool prep all american who would like to hear a possible future coach say "you will play my system regardless of what you think is fun or how you want to play because we run a princeton offense here".

No, that would be a lame thing to say and he would get laughed at for his lack of suave.

Little things like staring down Ced and talking about big men getting more shots and assuring players that they will be able to play the way they want to are why he is perfect for us in the wake of Herb.

Go Lowe. Get off the guys back until you have a reason to do so at least.
