Good movie. It made me sad, but in that feel good kind of way. Great ending too....had me and my buds laughing our asses off.

It's got that great roller coaster of emo and then the funny.

"Welcome to Hell"
Olive's dance rountine was the funniest thing I have seen in a looong time. I saw it at the Carolina with a fairly large crowd, and they all thought it was hilarious too.

It's probably nothing, but does anyone know of a connection between Fargo and Little Miss Sunshine? While I was watching Little Miss Sunshine it jumped out at me that Stan Grossman was also a character in Fargo. Not the same actor, though.

Probably just a coincidence.

I love how they all came together as a family, but not in a typical chessey way.

i agree 100%. well paced, well filmed, great emotional impact with comic relief at just the right moment. i went into this movie having never heard of it with low expectations. its certainly a winner, probably the best comedy i've seen this year. 5/5!

I didn't really enjoy it, or at least I don't get why so many other people enjoy it so much. I found it to be pretty bland and predictable.

Ok. Sure, there are no more new stories to tell, whatever. Still, the characters were awfully one-dimensional, the plot had several annoyingly implausible turns, and the movie offered very few good laughs that couldn't simply be had by watching the preview.

i honestly felt like this movie was an episode of the real world....nonsensical drama, awkwardness, depression, and embarrassment. it had some funny parts, and had great direction, but there was nothing innovative or introspective about this plot. and the one true character, olive, was made fun of and set up for complete failure, and her lack of reaction was unbelievable for a 7 year old.

saw it the night after it came out, hilarious

i go to the movies to have a good time-- i dont spend a lot of time looking for things to hate about it or analyzing the characters or plot line-- i'm def not a movie buff

its a fun movie, and good for a laugh

And the beauty pageant was extremely creepy. The costumes, the spray tan, the hair - I couldn't believe it. Olive, a normal kid, made the beauty pageant kids look even more crazy.

I really dug this movie...just saw it today and was thoroughly impressed.

They did an excellent job connecting the viewer to the stresses of the family, and the horn fiasco was totally hilarious. The superfreak moment at the end had us clapping

I found more of a connection between this film and Donnie Darko. Especially after they showed Beth Grant at the beauty pagent. That made it extra creepy for me.

Another thing I thought going into the movie was that I thought it was a Wes Anderson movie. I wasn't expecting to laugh on the outside (As is mostly the case with his movies.) but it was down right hilarious.

Anyone eaten ice cream yet?

Saw this a couple of weeks ago at the carolina, and it was great. I walked into it thinking it was going to be something along the lines of wes anderson/"thumbsucker", but it was much different. Awesome.
