The speed limit on 540 should be 85, on 440 75, anyone caught going under 70 for any reason should be arrested.

80 would be nice on 64 Bypass. Its already 70 and there is hardly any traffic out there besides around Rocky Mount.

I've been through the San Antonio - El Paso route through several cross-country trips.

While they should keep the speed limit at 80 for the sake of the stupid idiots that can't drive at high speeds, it should be implied that you can go faster without getting pulled over there.

I've driven 2100 miles in the last 11 days, and did most of that driving above 80 mph. Its beyond me why the limits for these areas aren't higher (most were 65-70).

yeah i put a quarter of my yearly mileage on my car last year in 2 weeks - it was easily mostly 80-85mpg on i-40/i-64

I think you mean just 64 East the Bypass part ends before 64/264 even split
