Duke is a pretty high-profile D-1 Lacrosse Team, they were in the National Championship last year. It's pretty safe to say any players that are at Duke are on Athletic Scholarship, so you can't infer anything about their economic situation just because they're at Duke.

Regardless of what lawyer they hired, their legal fees (attorney fees, discovery, depositions, experts, and trial) will be close to six figures easily for a high profile rape case. That will still be a lot of money to the parents.

The attorneys are some of the best in NC, but their fees are not outrageous compared to other defense lawyers.

The t shirts are going to be sold. I would prefer the money go to the wealthy players than someone profitting off this horrible situation.
